Met Éireann's Irish weather forecast for the weekend
On Friday afternoon, rain will affect the northeast of Leinster and much of Ulster. Sunny spells elsewhere with a few showers. This evening, rain will develop in the southeast and move in over south Leinster and east Munster. Highest temperatures 8 to 11 degrees with moderate easterly breezes.
On Friday night rain in the southeast will spread to most areas. It will clear southwards overnight but will continue in Munster. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 5 degrees.
Saturday will be a bright and mainly dry day with sunny spells. It will be cloudier in Munster with some rain or drizzle through the morning, but brightening up here also in the afternoon. Highest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees with moderate to fresh easterly breezes - coolest in the east and mildest in the west.
General: Mainly dry, with rainfall amounts below normal. Temperatures normal or a little above by day, but cool nights.
Saturday night will be cold overnight, with clear spells and with some frost in rural areas. Lowest temperatures zero to plus 3 C., in light variable or easterly breezes.
Sunday will be mainly dry and bright, with a mix of cloud and sunny spells, however that bit cloudier in the north with the odd patch of light rain or drizzle possible here. Top temperatures of 11 or 12 C., in eastern coastal counties, but 13 to 15 C., elsewhere, in a moderate easterly breeze. Cool overnight with occasional clear spells. Some rain or showers developing in eastern coastal counties. Lowest temperatures 3 to 6 C.
Monday is forecast to have bright spells, but scattered showery rain in places. Top temperatures 10 to 12 C., in eastern coastal counties, but 13 to 15 C., elsewhere. Winds moderate locally fresh easterly. Some dry, clear spells overnight, but cloudy periods too, with some rain about in places. Lowest temperatures 3 to 6 C.
Tuesday will be mainly dry. Some bright or sunny spells, but a few light showers scattered about also. Top temperatures 11 or 12 C., in eastern coastal counties, but 13 to 15 C., elsewhere. Winds moderate easterly. Cool, but mainly dry overnight, with lows of 3 to 7 C.
Midweek: Cold and mainly dry, some frosts at nights.
