Urgent call for foster home for cats & dogs

The Laois Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (LSPCA) has issued an urgent appeal for people to foster dogs and cats.

A big increase of unwanted puppies and kittens has in taken its toll.

“We have found ourselves at bursting point. Most of the animals have been rescued from unpleasant situations and are in need of a loving and caring environment. Dogs are wonderful company. They need varying amount of walks according to their breed and what better excuse to get out in the fresh air on lovely summer days than walking with man’s best friend,” said Dorothy Walker, Manager.

The LSPCA pay all vet bills and supply bedding and food for its foster animals.

The LSPCA can be contacted by phoning 085 2397059 for cats or 086 4169559 for dogs.
