Severe weather funding sought for Stradbally flooding

Laois County Council has applied for funding to resolve flooding in Killrory, Stradbally under the scheme to deal with problems caused by severe weather.

Philip McVeigh, Senior Executive Engineer, told Cllr Tom Mulhall (FG) that if funding was received discussions could begin with two landowners on the locations for soakaways to solve the problem.

Cllr Mulhall said it was a serious problem for the road and landowners.
