Monasterevin Tidy Towns is celebrating over 40 years of working towards making their town the best it can be.

From bio-diversity to heritage, landscaping to community involvement some of the current Monasterevin Tidy Towns members have been actively involved with the group since 1995.

Member Jean Kelly told the Leinster Express about old and new members.

“We have achieved a lot over the years and more needs to be done. It would be good to get more people involved with the Monasterevin Tidy Towns to help us realise our goals for the local area.

“Your contribution, no matter how small you think it is, will make a difference. The Tidy Towns is about bringing a community together to enhance the local community for everyone who lives in it.

“We, like all other Tidy Towns in Ireland, are committed to improving our local community, to fostering community effort and local pride.
