Laois community turns up the fashion stakes for Mary Claire Knowles fundraiser

The community in Timahoe, Co Laois has come together to pull off a huge fashion show event next week in aid of a great local cause.

The Timahoe Community Hall Fashion Show 2019 is an exciting event bringing the community together to raise funds for Mary Claire Knowles and the hall itself.

The fashion show will take place on Wednesday, February 27 from 7:15 pm. The show starts at 7:45 pm but everyone is encouraged to get in early for the wine and cheese reception.

This glamorous event will showcase all of the best Laois fashion with clothes from top local boutiques for ladies, gents and children. There will be special guests and entertainment on the night as well as a raffle with great spot prizes.

Tickets for the fashion show are €10 available from committee members and local businesses.

Mary Claire Knowles is a little Ballyroan girl who regularly suffers long seizures, a symptom of life-threatening Dravet Syndrome.

Mary Claire captured the heart of Laois and the nation when she appeared on a television documentary about Portlaoise last year alongside her parents Rose and Anthony Knowles.
