Laois Local Election Q & A: 'Prioritising small and medium farmers'

Kevin Drennan, non-party shares his priorities ahead of polling day on June 7

Laois Local Election Q & A: 'Fresh thinking and new ideas needed'

Kevin Drennan, non-party

What are my priorities?

My priority is housing especially for Irish people who are on the waiting list and have young families. We must look after our own first. I am also very concerned about the services for the people with kids with disabilities who are staying with their mothers and fathers because they don't have anywhere else to go.

Why do you think you would make a good County Councillor?

I think I would make a good county Councillor because I would be a new face and a new vision for my constituency and I would work with the people on the ground. As I am chairperson of the independent farmers I would put small and medium farmers as a priority as they are the back bone of our small towns and villages. I would also back the turf cutters of my constituency.

Kevin Drennan is a candidate in the Borris-in-Ossory Mountmellick Municipal District. In the lead up to polling day on June 7 we will be featuring profiles on all 47 candidates vying for a seat on Laois County Council.
