Laois County Council County Hall in Portlaoise.
Laois County Council has issued a tender for the design of 25 social houses in Durrow.
The council intends to build the properties along with four serviced sites on a site off Derry Road in Durrow.
The feasibility study has been carried out at the site and the council are now seeking a contractor to design suitable houses.
The 25 houses consist of 13 one bed, five two bed, three three bed and four one bed duplexes.
Planning permission has yet to be sought but the council is progressing the project.
The deadline for the tender is February 7.
