Laois clubs want to meet the young people of the county

Laois Macra are holding an information evening for new members on Thursday, January 26. 

Are you between the ages of 17 and 35? Have you an interest in travel, sport, agriculture, performing arts or public speaking? Then Macra could be the organisation for you.

Laois Macra is a youth organisation that allows young people to meet up and meet people not only from Laois but from all over the country. It gives people great travel opportunities to see parts of the country and the world that you might never normally get to see.  It gives people great opportunities to learn new skills and create networks of friends that will last a lifetime. 

Laois Macra are hosting a new members information night in Portlaoise Macra Hall R32 EY24 on Thursday, January 26 from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. This information night is for all clubs in Laois. 

Clubs in Laois include: Ard Eireann, Durrow/Abbeyleix, East Laois, Mountmellick, Rathdowney and Portlaoise. Members of each club will be available on the night to talk to.

Laois Macra holds farm walks, sports competitions like basketball and soccer, training courses in several different areas, plenty of social and travel activities and everything else in between.
