Portlaoise Train Station
Rail users in Laois can expect major alterations and some cancellations to services due to engineering works in the coming days.
Portlaoise and Portarlington commuters are being advised of the following timetable changes from Tuesday, February 14 and Thursday, February 16 inclusive due to engineering works between Kildare and Portlaoise.
The 22:10 Heuston to Portlaoise will operate to Kildare only, bus transfers direct from Kildare to Portlaoise, second bus transfer from Kildare to Monasterevin, Portarlington and Portlaoise
21:25 Portlaoise to Heuston is cancelled.
22:30 Portlaoise to Heuston will commence from Kildare at 23:05 and will operate in an altered path.
Then on Saturday, February 18 a number of significant changes to services for Portlaoise can be expected.
The 17:27 Heuston to Portlaoise is deferred to 17:35hrs and will operate to Hazelhatch only, bus transfers from Hazelhatch to Sallins, Newbridge, Kildare, Monasterevin, Portarlington and Portlaoise, second bus transfer from Hazelhatch to Kildare, Portarlington and Portlaoise.
The 18:25 Heuston to Portlaoise is deferred to 18:35hrs and will operate to Hazelhatch only, bus transfers from Hazelhatch to Sallins, Newbridge, Kildare, Monasterevin, Portarlington and Portlaoise, second bus transfer from Hazelhatch to Kildare, Portarlington and Portlaoise.
The 19:45 Heuston to Portlaoise will operate to Hazelhatch only, bus transfers from Hazelhatch to Sallins, Newbridge, Kildare, Monasterevin, Portarlington and Portlaoise, second bus transfer from Hazelhatch to Kildare, Portarlington and Portlaoise.
The 20:15 Heuston to Kildare is cancelled.
The 21:05 Heuston to Portlaoise will be substituted by bus transfers from Heuston to Kildare, Portarlington and Portlaoise, second bus transfer from Heuston to Sallins, Newbridge, Kildare, Monasterevin, Portarlington and Portlaoise, third bus transfer direct from Hazelhatch to Sallins.
The 22:10 Heuston to Portlaoise will be substituted by bus transfers from Heuston to Kildare, Portarlington and Portlaoise, second bus transfer from Heuston to Sallins, Newbridge, Kildare, Monasterevin, Portarlington and Portlaoise, third bus transfer direct from Hazelhatch to Sallins.
The 23:10 Heuston to Kildare will be substituted by bus transfers direct from Heuston to Kildare, second bus transfer from Heuston to Sallins, Newbridge and Kildare, third bus transfer direct from Hazelhatch to Sallins
The 15:25 Portlaoise to Heuston is deferred to 15:45hrs and will operate in an altered path
The 16:25 Portlaoise to Heuston will commence from Hazelhatch at 18:00hrs and will operate in an altered path.
The 17:25 Portlaoise to Heuston will be bus transfers from Portarlington to Kildare and Heuston, second bus transfer from Monasterevin to Kildare, Newbridge, Sallins and Hazelhatch, train at 19:08hrs from Hazelhatch to Heuston.
The 18:28 Portlaoise to Heuston will be bus transfers from Portarlington to Kildare and Heuston, second bus transfer from Monasterevin to Kildare, Newbridge, Sallins and Hazelhatch, train at 20:20hrs from Hazelhatch to Heuston.
The 19:25 Portlaoise to Heuston will be substituted by bus transfers from Portarlington to Kildare and Heuston, second bus transfer from Monasterevin to Kildare, Newbridge, Sallins and Heuston, third bus transfer direct from Sallins to Hazelhatch.
The 21:25 Portlaoise to Heuston will be substituted by bus transfers from Portlaoise to Portarlington, Kildare, Newbridge and Heuston, second bus transfer from Portarlington to Monasterevin, Kildare, Newbridge, Sallins and Heuston, third bus transfer direct from Sallins to Hazelhatch.
The 22:06 Kildare to Heuston is cancelled. The 22:30 Portlaoise to Heuston is cancelled
On Sunday, February 19 just one alteration is scheduled for Portlaoise.
The 07:40 Portlaoise to Heuston will be substituted by bus transfers from Portlaoise to Portarlington, Kildare, Newbridge and Heuston, second bus transfer from Portlaoise to Portarlington, Monasterevin, Kildare, Newbridge, Sallins and Heuston.
