Issue raised with officials at County Hall Portlaoise

Repair work is due to be carried out to gullies and a footpath in a Laois estate.

Cllr Ben Brennan had requested the work during the latest meeting of Portarlington Graiguecullen Municipal District.

Cllr Brennan asked in a motion: “That Laois County Council install additional gullies and repair the footpath in Oakley Park, Graiguecullen”

Laois Senior Executive Engineer Philip McVeigh responded to the motion at the latest meeting.

“Laois County Council has inspected these locations and will arrange to carry out these works as soon as possible,” said Mr McVeigh.

Cllr Brennan thanked him for the response.

“I am happy with that,” he said.
