A Kildare newsagent has announced that it is closing down after 49 years of service.
The Management of Kelly's Newsagents in Monasterevin said in a statement: "After 49 wonderful years of serving the community of Monasterevin, Kelly’s Newsagents will be closing our doors one final time on Saturday, April 15."
"While we will miss all of your lovely faces and the many chats and laughs, we are ready to take a little rest and see where life takes us next!
"Thanks to each and every one of you who shopped local throughout the years and helped to employ so many of our local young people during that time.
"In the meantime, watch this space for some great bargains, as we kick off our Closing Down Sale over the two weeks of Easter."
