New community hall plans lodged for Laois village

Clough Vision group launches major fundraiser raffle of John Deere tractor

Plans have been lodged for a new community hall and recreation centre in a Laois village. 

Clough Community Vision Committee are seeking permission for the development at Clough Village, Ballacolla. 

They lodged plans with Laois County Council on Monday. 

Clough Community Vision Committee are seeking to “construct a single storey community recreational building, comprising a main multi-purpose hall space, meeting rooms, kitchen, tea room, service spaces, waste water treatment system and associated site works.”

A decision on the submission, which has yet to be validated by Laois County Council, is expected to be made by June 5.

Clough Community Vision Committee raffled a €100,000 John Deere tractor as part of their fundraising for the project.
