Major works at Laois school approved to go to tender

Sean Fleming TD, Minister of State at the Department of Foreign Affairs welcomes that major works at Scoil Phádraig Naofa NS, in Mountmellick, have been approved to go to tender.

"I am pleased with the good news that works have been approved by the Minister for Education to go to tender for: 3 mainstream classrooms; 3 resource rooms; and 1 home-school liaison room at Scoil Phádraig Naofa Boys NS, Mountmellick," said Minister Fleming.

"Following my discussions with the Minister for Education, Norma Foley TD, I am pleased that this project has been approved to go to tender immediately. I look forward to an early successful tender process and construction works commencing as soon as possible.

"This is welcome news for families, students, staff and the entire school community. Finally, I want to compliment the school management and all those involved for all their work in progressing this very important education project in Mountmellick."
