A man who didn’t pay a fine for a bald tyre was banned from driving for a year.
Eric O’Driscoll, 37, with an address at 20 Cushing Place, Farranree, Cork was stopped on the N80 in Portlaoise and issued a fine for a bald right front tyre on May 3, 2021.
A sitting of Portlaoise District Court that the defendant was driving a grey Toyota Avensis when he was stopped. The right front tyre was bald and a fine was issued but it wasn’t paid. The court heard the man had 88 previous convictions.
Judge Andrew Cody fined the man €300 and disqualified him from driving for a year.
