Two Bands, one set dancing troupe, 14 individual performers and all from one Laois Branch - Camross Comhaltas whose members will be heading to The All Ireland Fleadh in Mullingar over the week of August 6th -13th/
The Branch has gone from strength to strength over the past few years with strong parental support and a hard working committee. It is under the direction of tutors Patricia Clarke, Shona Nevin, Caoimhe Lowry and Gina Reidy they have given young musicians a wonderful experience of traditional music in group settings.
We are also very fortunate to avail of the services of Martin Delaney Snr. who passes on his expertise in Guitar and singing and then back to where it all began for Camross we have Catherine Lalor our Set Dancing teacher.

Camross was first recognised as a strong force in Comhaltas through their set dancing success and later this year we will celebrate that and much more in our 50th Anniversary homecoming on the weekend of September 22/24th .
However for now the work in hand is to represent Laois and Leinster in the upcoming All Ireland Fleadh and we have also been invited to perform at the opening ceremony on Sunday 6th August, then perform on Fleadh TV on Thursday 10th August and entertain on the Main Gig Rig on Friday 11th August.
