Conor Bowe was the top points scorer in Knockbeg
There was Leaving Cert joy and satisfiction in the boys secondary school that serves students from Laois, Carlow and Kildare
Principal Mr Michael Carew was delighted with this year's results, and congratulated all students on their "wonderful achievements".
One student, Conor Bowe, achieved a maximum of 625 points, while 13% of the cohort achieved over 500 points. Almost 60% of students achieved over 400 points.
A third of Higher Level Maths students received a H1, while 83% of Higher Level Music students H2 or higher.
Mr Carew was acknowledged what were described as "excellent results were as a direct outcome of the hard work put in by our students and by their dedicated teachers".
Finally, he wished Leaving Cert cohort the very best of luck in their future career paths.
Knockbeg College is an all boys, non fee-paying, voluntary Catholic secondary school owned by the Diocese of Kildare and Leighlin. Formerly a boarding school, it underwent extensive renovation and modernisation in recent years.
A three year €10 million project was completed in 2020 and officially opened in 2021. The school is located near Graiguecullen close to the borders with Carlow and Kildare.
