Laois County Council has granted planning permission for 14 houses at Errill.
Furey Consulting Engineers Ltd were given approval to build the 12 two storey three bedroom and two four bedroom two storey houses at Errill subject to 23 conditions.
The planning application was lodged with the council in November last year.
It seeks to “construct 14 no. residential dwellings comprising 12 no. 3-bed semi-detached two storey dwellings (Type A1/A2), 2 no. 4-bed detached two storey dwellings (Type B1), together with a new vehicular entrance off the existing R433 road including provision of a new pedestrian path, all ancillary internal access roads, infrastructure, landscaping and boundary treatments, and all associated site and development works and services.”
The planning permission was granted subject to 23 conditions. These included works relating to traffic, green spaces, lighting and waste and surface water.
The developer is also required to pay the council €56,000 in development contributions. The money is broken down to €22,400 for amenities and a further €33,600 towards roads.
