Laois player announced as winner of €2.2million National Lottery
A very lucky Laois person has just won the National Lottery jackpot of almost €2.3 million.
The unknown winner played the lotto online in Laois on Wednesday, October 11.
The jackpot won is a lovely €2,294,855.
All Laois players who took part have received alerts this Thursday to check their tickets.
The Laois player became the 12th Lotto jackpot winner of the year after purchasing their ticket through the National Lottery app or online at www.lottery.ie. The National Lottery has confirmed that a notification to the user’s online account and a separate email has now been sent to the lucky Laois ticketholder.
The winning numbers from the Wednesday 11th October draw were: 02, 12, 16, 24, 39, 40 and the bonus was 25.
A National Lottery spokesperson confirmed the win.
“It was a life-changing Wednesday night for an online Lotto player in Laois who won over €2.29 million in the midweek draw. The Laois player has now been crowned as the 12th Lotto jackpot winner for the year to date following jackpot wins by players in Limerick, Dublin, Meath, Donegal, Westmeath, Louth and Leitrim.
It is not the only Laois player who they are calling on today.
“There is a Telly Bingo player who is yet to come forward to claim their €45,075 Snowball prize from the Friday 14th July draw. As close of business today is the deadline to claim, we are eager to hear from this player as soon as possible.
“The winning ticket was purchased on Tuesday 4th July at Dunnes Stores in the Kyle Shopping Centre on James Fintan Lalor Avenue in Portlaoise. If this sounds familiar to any of our Laois players, get checking those old tickets as soon as possible and make contact with our prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for you to collect your prize.”
