Irish Farmer's Association President and Ballinakill man Francie Gorman will be the guest speaker when Laois farmers gather this week for the Laois IFA Annual General Meeting.
Mr Gorman has had a hectic schedule since he took the reins of the association at a national level in January after a resounding win in the IFA presidential election.
Top of the agenda publicly has been leading the Enough is Enough campaign which has seen farmers fight for a reduction in red tap and more incentives to make big changes demanded of them on their farm due to environmental measures. More below picture.
