Tesco celebrated the opening of their new Laois store with special donations to local causes.
Following the opening of the Tesco Gandon Court store in Portlaoise, Tesco Ireland’s, Joe Manning presented a double donation cheque with €1,140 to The Heath National School in Portlaoise.
He is pictured presenting the cheque to staff member Anne Marie Monnelly, alongside store manager Denise Barry. The donations were made possible thanks to the Tesco Community Fund, which doubled the first donations to celebrate the new store in Gandon Court, Portlaoise.
Now entering its 10th year, the Community Fund continues to provide vital support to community groups across Ireland. Tesco Ireland is calling on community groups in Portlaoise to apply for the Tesco Community Fund.
To nominate a community group or good cause focused on supporting health or children in Laois, applications can be submitted via the Tesco online application form at TescoIreland.ie.
