Laois Partnership Company is running a pilot project in therapeutic gardening and crafts every Tuesday and Thursday morning for the month of August.

This is a four-week pilot project with SICAP (Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme) supporting disability groups in Laois.

In consultation with Down Syndrome Ireland Laois Branch, this project was designed in line with learners’ requirements to support DSI Laois clients’ access to and engagement in therapeutic style gardening and crafting.

The Women's shed Portlaoise is providing and facilitating the training in our premises on the New Road Portlaoise and our allotment space in O’Moore Place.

For further information on the project, contact Employment & Training Officer Michelle Tuohy at michelletuohy@laoispartnership.ie. Laois County Council Karen Bambrick
