Update: Laois Offaly Gardaí say electric scooter rider has come forward after appeal

Gardaí issued an urgent alert over the incident

Gardaí say an electric scooter driver who left the scene of a collision has since come forward. 

The collision occurred at Eiscir Summer Road, Tullamore, Co Offaly on August 8 at around 3pm. 

Gardaí said a youth suffered injuries but the electric scooter rider, who may also have been injured, left the scene. 

They issued an appeal for information in relation to the incident on social media yesterday. 

The appeal was updated today and gardaí.

“The user of the scooter has come forward and are assisting gardai with enquiries.Thank you,” they said
