Laois student Joe Drennan, who was killed after being hit by a car last year, has been awarded a posthumous degree.
Mr Drennan, who was originally from Camross, was an award-winning fourth year journalism student in University of Limerick and editor-in-chief of the Limerick Voice publication.
On Thursday, August 29 Mr Drennan was posthumously awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Digital Communications from the University. CONTINUE READING BELOW PHOTO
In a tribute to their former student, University Limerick described Mr Drennan as "a talented and award winning young journalism student who is much missed by staff and his classmates."
