Clonaslee High Nelly Club donates over €35,000 to Laois parish

Committee members of the Clonaslee High Nelly Club have presented a cheque for €35,400 to Clonaslee Parish.

Committee members of the Clonaslee High Nelly Club have presented a cheque for €35,400 to Clonaslee Parish.

It comes after the club's hugely successful fundraising cycle on August 4 to raise funds for the  Church Roof Restoration project.
Parish priest, Fr. Thomas O'Reilly joined the committee at the presentation of the incredible sum.

"We were blown away by the generosity of so many at every single level of this fundraiser. The acts of kindness and togetherness truly embodied the community spirit of Clonaslee. From those who cycled on the day, baked for our cake sale, participated in the auction, privately donated, volunteered in any capacity, or if you simply cheered us on - thank you! In the club's five year existence, this is our most successful fundraiser to date. We couldn't have done it without you!" said the committee.
