Fr David Vard, PP of Stradbally, Vicarstown Timahoe Parish
Fr David Vard, PP of Stradbally, Vicarstown Timahoe Parish, had a great 2024, from leading his parishioners in a fundraising parachute jump, to singing at Electric Picnic with The Timahoe Male Choir, and quizzing with the 2 Johnnies on RTÉ.
“I feel like I say this every year, but my resolution for this year is to be more organised! Perhaps I need to switch back to a physical diary instead of relying solely on my phone. Better yet, I just need to remember to write everything down!
“As for my hopes for 2025, I wish for everyone to be kinder. The year 2024 brought so much troubling news from around the world, and I hope we can each make our little corner of the world a bit nicer to live in. I hope this kindness begins in my own parish and spreads throughout Laois, Kildare, and our entire island. If we take a moment to think before we act
or even pause before we speak, we can make a difference.
“On a lighter note, I hope the Timahoe Male Choir continues to thrive in 2025. Don’t forget to
catch us lighting up the stage in St. Anne’s Park on June 7th,” he said.
