Find out where and how to recycle your Christmas tree for free in Laois
As the decorations come down and the big clean up begins it is also time to start thinking about disposing of your Christmas tree.
Laois County Council is running a free Christmas tree recycling service for the month of January.
Up until Saturday, February 1, 2025, the council will be accepting non-artificial Christmas trees for recycling at Kyletalesha Landfill Site in Portlaoise.
However, those wishing to recycle their non-artificial Christmas tree must ensure that all Christmas tree lights and decorations are removed before the tree is recycled.
