Church Avenue, Stradbally
Work to upgrade the footpaths on Church Avenue in Stradbally is taking place over the coming weeks.
Fianna Fáil Cllr Paschal McEvoy welcomed the footpath improvements and said the work was badly needed and would include the installation of dropped kerbs at estates for buggies and wheelchairs.
“From McKeons back to the Main Street, the footpaths are either being replaced or repaired,” he explained.
He said the narrow path into Brockley Park will also be widened and improved as part of the works.
Laois County Council have announced temporary traffic arrangements for the duration of the works. These arrangements will be in place between 8am and 6pm until February 28.
Laois County Council said objections or observations can be emailed to: joconnor@laoiscoco.ie , didonohue@laoiscoco.ie and niall@towerltd.ie .
