County Hall in Portlaoise to be closed to public over Easter.
Laois County Council has contracted a call answering service to ensure the public can avail of local authority help with housing and other issues over Easter.
The local authority says that County Hall in Portlaoise will be shut from Good Friday through to Easter Monday. However, it has informed the Leinster Express / Laois Live that has engaged Arema Connect to provide a call answering service for non-fire emergencies for roads, housing and water services over Easter when the offices are closed.
The service is operational from 5 pm on Thursday, April 17 until 9 am on Tuesday, April 22.
Callers can access the service by calling the main switchboard (057) 8664000.
They will be provided with two options:

The council says information is being provided in the event of requests for assistance over Easter.
Arema offers says a range of call answering services on a 24x7 basis, including emergency response.
