Two bikers hospitalised after crash involving car near Athy.
A motorcyclist was taken to Portlaoise hospital following a crash near Athy which has left a second biker with serious injuries in Dublin, according to Gardaí.
Gardaí are also are appealing for witnesses to what they say was "a serious road traffic collision" on the R415 road at Boley Little, Co Kildare on Thursday, June 5.
Gardaí say they responded with emergency services to the collision involving a car and two motorcycles shortly after 7.30pm.
They confirmed that one of the motorcyclists, a man in his 20s, was brought to Tallaght University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The second biker, a man in his 20s, was taken to Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Gardaí say his injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening. There were no other injuries reported.
The R145 road between Athy and Nurney was closed as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators conducted an examination of the scene. Local diversions in place.
Gardaí ask that road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 7.15pm and 7.45pm are to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
