Laois County Council has announced its intention to close the Knockanina to Redcastle Road for a number of hours for Ras Na mBan.
The Council said it intends to close the road between the hours of 12 noon to 4pm on Friday, September 5, 2025.
“The road closure is necessary to facilitate Stage 3 Ras Na mBan National Cycle Race.
Diversions will be clearly signposted. A map indicating the routes to be closed and the alternative routes will be available for inspection at www.laois.ie and Aras an Chontae, Portlaoise.”
The Council said: “Any person wishing to object to the proposed road closure should do so by email to roadsadmin@laoiscoco.ie. or in writing to the Administrative Officer, Roads Section, Laois County Council, Aras an Chontae, James Fintan Lalor Avenue, Portiaoise not later than 06th August 2025.”
