Ballyroan Community Development Association is set to launch their Transformative Village Plan at a meeting this week. The launch will take place on Wednesday, August 26 at 8:00pm in the Community Hall, Ballyroan, ahead of the Association’s Annual General Meeting at 8.30pm.

This event marks the culmination of months of dedication by a group of local volunteers who have worked with unwavering commitment to shape a plan that reflects the hopes, needs, and aspirations of the Ballyroan community. Their efforts, supported throughout by Laois County Council, have resulted in a comprehensive roadmap that will guide Ballyroan’s growth while preserving its unique charm and character.

"The evening promises to be a celebration of community pride, as members and local residents gather to witness the unveiling of a plan that they have shaped. Information boards and printed copies of the plan will be available in the hall, and brief speeches will be delivered by key contributors," say the organisers.

"The Ballyroan Community Plan outlines strategic goals for sustainable development, infrastructure improvements, cultural enrichment, and environmental stewardship. It reflects the village’s growing energy, its growing population and ambition, and sets the stage for exciting new initiatives that will enhance quality of life for all residents. Ballyroan continues to thrive as a welcoming, close-knit village where tradition and progress walk hand in hand.

"The launch of this plan is not just a strategic milestone—which will steer the development of the village and help secure future funding, it’s a celebration of community, belonging, and the bright future ahead."
Members of the public are invited to attend the launch.
