Laois pound reaching full capacity, urges locals to consider adopting

Fosters urgently needed as Laois dog pound reaching full capacity

Laois Dog Pound has pleaded with the public to consider fostering and adopting four legged friends, with the pound almost reaching full capacity.

The pound took to social media this week to raise awareness of their plight.

"Dear Followers, we are almost at capacity here in Laois Dog Pound Shelter," they wrote.

"If you would please be kind enough to share the list of dogs available for rehoming we would really appreciate it."

Last June, Laois County Council confirmed the expansion of the ISPCA's Laois Dog Warden Service, at the June meeting of Portlaoise Municipal District.

Laois Dog Pound is currently closed on Wednesdays and Sundays. The pound has dogs and cats available for home adoption.
