Kilkenny hurling superstar Henry Shefflin recently gave a masterclass to students at Heywood Community School, Ballinakill.

Kilkenny hurling superstar Henry Shefflin recently gave a masterclass to students at Heywood Community School, Ballinakill.

His appearance was a reward for the school reaching 100 savings accounts in their bank, set up this year in conjunction with Shefflin’s employer, Bank of Ireland.

He was impressed with the students’ hurling skills, and spoke of the importance of sport in maintaining physical and mental health. He has spurred on both the hurlers and student banking team to greater achievements.
