The final entries are in and the sashes are being printed, and in just three weeks the Laois Rose for 2015 will be crowned.
“The closing date for entries has now passed and we are really pleased with the response,” Bernadette Ryan said, who is organising this year’s event alongside Ann Marie Bowe.
“I think the number of entries this year is testament to Teresa Brennan and the year she has had, but also to Maria Walsh, the current Rose of Tralee.”
Bernadette continues: “It has been a whirlwhind year for Teresa, she has met so many people and made a lot of new friends. There have been opportunites to do things you wouldn’t normally get the chance to do like walk in the St Patrick’s Day parade in New York.”
The former Rose continues: “We have a busy few weeks ahead, but I really hope it will be an enjoyable experience for the girls.”
The Rose experience gets underway with an exclusive style briefing for the girls featuring lots of tips and tricks from local hair, beauty and fashion experts.
This will be followed by a quick bus tour of the county on Saturday, April 18 before the big day on Friday, April 24.
“We want to make the selection night a family friendly event, so we are keeping ticket prices the same as last year.
“As always Brendan Hennessey will be in top form to make the girls feel at home on the stage.”
