Holocaust survivor visits Mountrath

A survivor of the Bergen Belsen Concentration Camp visited Mountrath Community School recently.
Tomi Reichenthal talked to students about growing up in Slovakia, the anti-Semite culture in the 1940’s and his story of survival in Bergen Belsen. His message was clear, we should never allow such evil to happen again.
The students were moved by his honesty and his forgiveness. “It was such a privilege to meet such a man of peace,” said Shauna Hogan.
His biography ‘I was a boy in Bergen Belsen’, is published by O Brien Press.
