Laois County Council has given the green light for an extension to Vicarstown Community Hall.
Vicarstown Community Hall Committee was granted planning permission subject to nine conditions two weeks ahead of the decision deadline.
The Committee secured permission to build an extension to the northern side of the existing hall consisting of a gym, storage facilities and a shower and toilet. The total floor area of the proposed works is 158.72sqm.
According to a Council planner, “the proposed roof construction is a profiled composite roof cladding on galvanised steel and external walls are built up with concrete blocks and finished in nap plaster."
