Endurance Ireland are a long distance riding group, we run rides throughout Leinster and Munster from February to October every year.
They usually have two rides every year in Timahoe, a BBQ ride in June and our fancy dress Fun Ride in October at Halloween. This is usually the last ride of the season and is a great day out.
This year the ride was a memorial ride for Eileen Cosgrave who was the mother of two of our riders on Sunday and the grandmother of another two, she was a great fan of the fancy dress ride and always had a creative costume, coming as Scooby Doo one year and Batman another!.
On Sunday, October 30 12 riders out dressed in a variety of costumes, from the Mad Hatter to a Giant Panda to a Ghost Bride.
Members and non members are welcome at our events, with members undertaking competitive rides of up to 160km and non members riding up to 32km. Endurance is a great family sport often seeing multiple generations. More info is available on our website www.enduranceireland.ie
