A road in the Rosenallis area which, it is claimed, has not been repaired in 25 years must be worked on next year.
Cllr Seamus McDonald called for the Ballygillaheen road to be included in the Laois County Council 2019 roadworks programme.
“It’s 25 years since work was carried out on that road,” he said.
He claimed that tree roots were growing through the road at one stage.
Stan Cullen, area engineer, said the road would be repaired as necessary and be considered for the upcoming annual roads programme.
