Laois vintage vehicle enthusiasts and a local Lions club have gone more the extra mile for hospice care in Laois.
The Ballinakill Vintage & Classic Owners Club & Portlaoise Lions Club Cheque presented a cheque for €5,000 to Laois Vintage Ltd which raises funds for Laois Hospice.
Ken Meredith, Michael McCormack, Berni Kilbride, Steve Crofton, Pat O'Meara from Ballinakill Vintage & Classic Owners Club attended the presentation at the Laois Shopping Centre. Also present were Kevin Doyle, Laois Shopping Centre, Maire O'Riordain, Sean Cruise Lions and Ann and Michael Malone of the Portlaoise Lions Club.
Thanking the fundraisers, Laois Vintage said it was delighted with the result of the collection held last October at the Ballinakill Indoor Vintage Show held in the Laois Shopping Centre in Portlaoise.
Laois Vintage said it was also a fantastic start to our €1 million target it hopes to reach in 2020 for funds raised over the years for hospice care in Laois.
