A disqualified driver has been arrested after being stopped by Laois Gardai on the M7 motorway today.
The driver told gardai the untaxed vehicle being driven was borrowed.
The vehicle was seized and the driver has been charged to appear in court at a later date.
Separately in an unrelated incident this afternoon, Laois Gardai are appealing for information in relation to a black Audi Q5 which was seen acting suspiciously in Clonkeen, Portlaoise.
The black Q5 had four males aboard. Anyone who has seen the vehicle is asked to contact Gardai immediately.
