A special fundraising night for Muscular Dystrophy Ireland will be held this Friday, October 3 in Kavanagh’s Pub & Venue, Portlaoise, at 9pm.
The night will raise much needed funds to support the work of the organisation in its ongoing research and development to help provide respite and care to those affected by the rare condition and their families. Guests will enjoy music by popular Portlaoise musician James O’Connor and be in with a chance to win some great some spot prizes.
There are 16 people in Laois affected by muscular dystrophy, a rare condition that causes progressive weakening and wasting of muscles. All funds raised from the night will go towards Muscular Dystrophy Ireland which provides information and support to people across Laois.
Tickets will be available at the door at a cost of €5 or can be purchased beforehand from Mags Roe at 087 795 9942.
