Reduce percentage of rent/income

“Nobody should be asked to live on €75 a week, we’re doing a disservice to them,” said Cllr Willie Aird, calling on the council to reduce the proportion of rent payable as a percentage of income.

He was informed by Michael Rainey, housing officer, that a national differential rent scheme will be coming to the members for approval in the coming months.
