A PORTLAOISE woman who was the passenger in a stolen car has been ordered to remain under the supervision of the probation service for 12 months.

A PORTLAOISE woman who was the passenger in a stolen car has been ordered to remain under the supervision of the probation service for 12 months.

Inspector Declan Dunne gave evidence that Alison McEvoy, 28 Birchgrove, Parkers Lane, attended a party at Ashley Gardens, Portlaoise, on August 11, 2012, and along with others got into a car that was stolen.

Defence, Ms Josephine Fitzpatrick said that McEvoy was drinking, when someone suggested they go for a drive.
