Mountrath TY head for hills

Wet weather didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of Mountrath Transition year students who embarked on their Gaisce Challenge in the Wicklow mountains last month.
The students completed several day and night treks across the rugged landscape, all agreeing that the weather was all part of the great memories made on the trip.
“We really enjoyed the challenges and the long walks, said Max Connolly.
“We loved all the fun staying in the hostel too,” added Ffion Jones. The 25km hike is part of the group’s efforts to win Bronze Gaisce awards.
