Students learn about Islam

On the December 5, two 3rd year groups from Mountrath Community School visited the Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland in Clonskeagh, Dublin.

On the December 5, two 3rd year groups from Mountrath Community School visited the Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland in Clonskeagh, Dublin.

They were completing some fieldwork for their Junior Cert religious education journal. The students explored the ecumenical role of the centre and enjoyed the day.

Jack Corr said that it was amazing how welcoming every one was at the centre.

Tom Connolly said the students gained an insight into Islam and its ecumenical events in Ireland.
