A boy is in hospital after being hit by a car in the Midlands on Wednesday afternoon
An investigation is underway after the boy, who is believed to be 11 years old, was struck by a car on the Ballinagar Road outside Tullamore, Co Offaly.
“Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 3:10pm in the Ballinagar area of Tullamore, Co Offaly,” Gardai stated.
“A vehicle collided with a pedestrian in the course of this incident. The pedestrian, a male juvenile, was conveyed to Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore for treatment of non-life threatening injuries sustained as a result of this collision," Gardai said.
The incident is being investigated by Gardai at Tullamore Garda Station.
