Permission has been granted for 19 homes for elderly and limited mobility users in Stradbally.
BDS Alliance Ltd was granted conditional permission to build the properties on Main Street in Stradbally.
The 19 single storey houses will consist of four blocks of terraced buildings containing 13 one bedroom and six two bedroom homes.
BDS had applied the housing for Main Street in Stradbally in March this year.
“The development also includes the provision of a new access road and pedestrian access leading to a public road and for alterations to adjoining shop access including realignment of footpath along public road at proposed entrance,” the application states.
It also provides for bin storage and car parking spaces along with site lighting.
The plans seek “to connect to council mains, sewage and storm sewers with associated siteworks and for temporary construction compound to remain in situ for a period of two years to facilitate construction works.”
The housing was approved subject to 19 conditions on Monday.
