The council has said work will be carried out to repair a damaged wall at an estate in Laois.
Cllr Aisling Moran had tabled a motion in relation to the issue at the last meeting of Portarlington Graiguecullen Municipal District.
She asked: “That this Council repair the damaged wall in Rossmore View.”
Senior Executive Engineer Philip McVeigh said: “Laois County Council has inspected this and has obtained a quotation for the repair works. We will arrange to carry out these works as soon as possible.”
Cllr Moran thanked the engineer for his response, saying “that’s brilliant.”
