Man allegedly had drugs at Portlaoise Train Station

The man appeared before Portlaoise District Court
A man appeared in court accused of having a ‘sizable amount’ of drugs at Portlaoise Train Station.
Derek Shevlin (33) of 8 Churchwell Rise, Ballmayne, Dublin 13 is accused of having drugs for sale or supply at Portlaoise Train Station on April 2, 2026.
Garda Sergeant JJ Kirby asked for a long adjournment and said it was “allegedly a large sizable amount” of drugs.

Judge Susan Fay adjourned the case back to Portlaoise District Court on November 15 for DPP directions.
