Man to be tried over Electric Picnic assault

A man is to be sent forward for trial in relation to an assault at the Electric Picnic last year.
Brandon Brennan, 22, with an address at 11 Ardrew Meadows, Athy, Co Kildare is accused of assault causing harm at Electric Picnic on September 2, 2022.
Garda Sergeant JJ Kirby said the DPP had directed that the case should proceed on indictment, meaning the case would go forward to the circuit court.
He requested five or six weeks to prepare a book of evidence in the case.
Judge Andrew Cody said he would adjourn the matter until November 11 for service of the book of evidence.
